Sunken Soviet submarine still leaking radioactive material into Norwegian Sea after 37 years

A Cold War-era Soviet nuclear submarine that sank 5,551 feet deep in the Norwegian Sea in 1989 due to a fire accident is still leaking radioactive material, according to a study. The submarine carried two nuclear torpedoes and one nuclear reactor. Norwegian scientists said that the overall contamination of the marine environment remains minimal.
