Sunrise III observatory collects over 200 TB of solar data

The Sunrise III solar observatory has collected over 200 terabytes of scientific data on the Sun during a six-and-a-half day mission through the stratosphere. Flying at an altitude of 35 km, the balloon-borne observatory captured clear images. The data could improve models of the Sun's behaviour, offering insights into solar oscillations, flares, and magnetic structures known as solar tornadoes.
