India's Supreme Court handled an unmatched caseload in 2025, clearing 87% of over 75,000 cases - far surpassing the top courts in the US and UK. Amid leadership churn, CJI Surya Kant also rolled out reforms to prioritise cases involving the vulnerable, ensuring justice for persons with disabilities, senior citizens, the poor, and legal-aid litigants.
