Supreme Court dismisses plea for separate Tirupati state

The Supreme Court dismissed a PIL by Evangelist Dr KA Paul, seeking to declare Tirupati a separate state or Union Territory. Citing example of Vatican, a country created for just over 700 people, Paul sought a separate state for Tirupati. Though he argued in person that petition was to protect image of his state, however, Supreme Court dismissed his plea.
