Supreme Court halts Jahangirpuri demolition drive for 2 weeks

The Supreme Court has stayed demolition drive in Jahangirpuri for two weeks, saying, "We will take a serious view of all demolitions that took place after the status quo order was communicated to the mayor." On Wednesday, the demolition, which started around 10.15 am, went on for two hours despite SC's directions at 11 am that status quo be maintained.
