Supreme Court orders refund of ₹5-crore fine paid by Art of Living over 2016 Yamuna event

The Supreme Court has set aside National Green Tribunal's 2017 order which had held the Art of Living Foundation responsible for damage to the Yamuna floodplains in Delhi during its 2016 World Culture Festival. The court directed the DDA to refund the ₹5 crore penalty deposited by the foundation, holding that no direct link with the damage could be established.
