Supreme Court quashes criminal defamation case against Rahul Gandhi for remarks on Savarkar

The Supreme Court on Friday quashed the criminal defamation complaint and the magistrate's summoning order against Rahul Gandhi for remarks on Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. Rahul was facing charges of promoting enmity and public mischief in a complaint filed by advocate Nripendra Pandey. Rahul had described Savarkar as a collaborator with the British, alleging he received a pension from the British.
