Supreme Court restores Congress Rajegowda as Karnataka MLA whose votes were cut after recount

The Supreme Court on Monday directed that Congress leader TD Rajegowda will remain the MLA of Karnataka's Sringeri constituency for now after his votes were cut by 255 after the recount. The court also made strong observations against BJP candidate DN Jeevaraj, who emerged as the winner after the recount, stating, "We cannot let you hijack democracy like this."
