Supreme Court seeks SEBI's response in Sandesara brothers' plea

The Supreme Court on Monday asked SEBI to respond to a plea filed by Nitin and Chetan Sandesara challenging the market regulator's probe against them, despite a ₹5,100 crore settlement. The court granted SEBI time till April 2 to file their response. It further noted that the settlement amount must be distributed to secured lenders on a proportionate basis.
