Suraj becomes India's first-ever gold medallist at FISU World University C'ship Squash

Squash player Suraj Kumar Chand created history on Thursday by becoming India's first-ever gold medallist at the FISU World University Championship Squash after winning the men's final. Suraj defeated Hungary's Benedek Takács 5-11, 11-8, 11-5, 6-11, 11-4 in a five-game match. The event is being held at Somaiya Vidyavihar University in Maharashtra's Mumbai.
