Surat's ₹21-crore water tank, which collapsed before its inauguration, was supposed to serve 33 villages. Three labourers were injured in the incident. The police arrested seven high-profile accused involved in the construction and supervision of the water tank. Notably, the tank, which was 15 metres high, collapsed while water was being filled to test its strength.
