Suspected case of Omicron variant found in Germany: Regional minister
A suspected case of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 has likely been found in Germany, a regional minister said on Saturday. First discovered in South Africa on November 24, Omicron has been declared as a 'Variant of Concern' by the WHO. Cases of the new variant have also been identified in the UK, Botswana, Belgium, Hong Kong and Israel.
