Suu Kyi to miss UN Assembly debate due to Rohingya violence

Myanmar's leader Aung San Suu Kyi has confirmed that she will not attend the upcoming UN General Assembly debate due to the ongoing violence against Rohingya Muslims in the country. Suu Kyi has been repeatedly criticised for failing to halt the violence which has forced about four lakh Rohingya Muslims to flee to Bangladesh and has claimed around 400 lives.
