Suzlon fined ₹29 crore by SEBI over misleading financial statements

SEBI has imposed a penalty of ₹28.95 crore on Suzlon Energy for allegedly misleading investors about its financial performance over several years. The action follows an anonymous complaint received in 2019 over irregularities involving ₹2,752 crore in profits. Suzlon denied any wrongdoing, maintaining that the transactions in question were part of legitimate business and accounting practices.
