Actress Swara Bhaskar and SP leader Fahad Ahmad said it was Umar Khalid who played matchmaker for them during CAA protests, saying, "He was our cupid. He was the person who connected us." Fahad said, "Umar...is a very good friend of mine. So he told me, 'I'm sending you Swara's number, you just call her.'"
