Swedish athlete breaks own pole vault world record by 1cm

Armand Duplantis of Sweden has set a new pole vault world record of 6.18 metres at the World Athletics Glasgow Indoor Grand Prix. The 20-year-old Swedish athlete broke his own record of 6.17 metres, set at an indoor meeting in Poland earlier this month. That jump had broken the earlier record of 6.16 metres set by French vaulter Renaud Lavillenie.
