Sweet shop sells gold-plated gujiya for ₹50,000/kg in UP's Gonda

A sweet shop in Uttar Pradesh's Gonda is selling gold-plated gujiya priced at ₹50,000 per kg or ₹1,300 per piece for Holi. "Our 'Golden Gujiya' has a 24-carat gold layer and is stuffed with special dry fruits, including Kashmiri saffron and pistachios," said shop manager Shivakant Chaturvedi. "People are mostly buying one or two pieces," Chaturvedi added.
