Swiggy starts charging ₹2 as 'platform fee' per food order

Swiggy has started charging customers a 'platform fee' of ₹2 per order, irrespective of the total cart value. According to Moneycontrol, the fee is being charged only in some cities like Bengaluru and Hyderabad and is levied only on food orders for now. Meanwhile, Swiggy confirmed the development and said, "[The fee] will help us operate and improve our platform."
