Swimmer Chad le Clos' SA home destroyed in fire while he was in Scotland for CWG

South African swimmer Chad le Clos has revealed that his apartment in Cape Town was destroyed in a fire on July 30 that also claimed the life of his neighbour. The 34-year-old was in Scotland's Glasgow, competing at the Commonwealth Games 2026 when the incident happened. "It has taken me a while to process this heartbreaking tragedy," he said.
