Swiss gold exports to India surge to 5-month high in August

Switzerland's gold exports to India jumped to a five-month high in August, Swiss customs data showed on Tuesday. During the month, total Swiss gold exports stood at 1,16,442 kg, out of which 70,294 kg was exported to India. India and China are the world's largest consumers of gold, while Switzerland is the largest gold refining centre and transit hub.
