Syria shuts border crossing with Lebanon after Israeli threats

Syria on Saturday temporarily closed a key border crossing with Lebanon due to security concerns following Israeli threats. An Israeli spokesperson had warned of airstrikes on the factory crossing area on the Syrian-Lebanese border in "the near future". Israel has carried out strikes across Lebanon and launched a ground invasion in the country's south in its ongoing conflict with Hezbollah.
