T'gana police formally confirm surrender of 4 Maoist leaders

Telangana Police on Tuesday formally confirmed surrender of four senior leaders of proscribed CPI (Maoist) before DGP. The police said leaders cited shrinking support, internal conflicts and fragmentation within the Central Committee, which they said now has only one active member. Official data show number of Maoist cadres from Telangana has fallen from 124 in 2023 to 11 in 2026.
