Table tennis star Manika urges PM Modi to intervene after being excluded from Asian Games squad

Table tennis star Manika Batra has urged PM Narendra Modi, Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and the Indian Olympic Association to look into her non-selection in India's Asian Games 2026 squad. Calling the decision "deeply disheartening", Batra said no specific reason was communicated to her. Currently, Manika is ranked second in women’s singles among Indians.
