Taiwan accuses China of cutting off their islands' internet cables

Taiwan has accused Chinese ships of severing the internet cables which connect its outlying islands to the outside world. Two submarine internet cables that provide connectivity to Taiwan's Matsu island, which houses 14,000 people, were allegedly cut off. Notably, Taiwan recently said it should prepare for a "sudden entry" of the Chinese military into its sea and airspace.
