Taiwan airport offers 'fake flights' where people board plane but don't fly anywhere

Songshan Airport in Taiwan's Taipei on Thursday began offering 'fake flights' where travellers get a fake itinerary where they check-in, go through passport control, security and even board the aircraft but do not fly anywhere. The airport is using the event to show renovations completed in absence of passengers amid coronavirus pandemic. Around 60 people boarded the first 'fake flight'.
