Taiwan sends greetings as Penpa sworn in as Tibet-in-exile leader

Taiwan has congratulated Penpa Tsering on being sworn in for a second consecutive term as the president of Tibet’s government-in-exile. "Taiwan deeply admires the courage of the Tibetan community," minister Lin Chia-lung said in a letter. "Taiwan looks forward to strengthening our friendship, deepening mutual understanding, and creating opportunities for closer cooperation," Lin added.
