Taiwan suspects Nvidia chips smuggled to China via Japan: Report

Taiwanese prosecutors suspect three people smuggled at least one shipment of Nvidia AI chips to China through Japan, Bloomberg reported. The trio was detained last week for allegedly falsifying export-related documents. The probe could become the first known case targeting an AI-chip smuggling route via Japan. Notably, US has imposed restrictions on the sale of advanced AI chips to China.
