Yemen's Taiz faces famine as Saudi airstrike kills 13
Taiz Governor Nabil Shamsan declared the city of 1 million in Yemen is 'in famine, not on the brink of it,' as a Houthi siege since early October blocked food, water, and medical supplies. A Saudi airstrike killed at least 13 people. Human Rights Watch warned the blockade may constitute the war crime of using starvation as warfare.
