Take mining sector's GDP contribution to 2.5% by 2026-27: Minister

Union Minister of Mines Pralhad Joshi urged the mining sector's stakeholders to contribute at least 2.5% of GDP by 2026-27. Adding that India should be 'Aatmanirbhar' in the sector, Joshi said, "We should adopt...use of AI and best global practices to achieve more mine exploration." India's coal production this year will be nearly 900 million tonnes, he said.
