Taliban arrest women in Kabul for 'bad hijab' in dress code crackdown

Taliban have arrested women in Kabul for wearing "bad hijab", a spokesman at the country's Vice and Virtue Ministry said. This is the first dress code crackdown by Taliban since they seized control over Afghanistan in August 2021. In May 2022, Taliban issued a decree calling for women to only show their eyes and recommending they wear the head-to-toe burqa.
