Taliban co-founder appointed chief negotiator for talks with US

Afghan Taliban co-founder Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar has been named the head of Taliban's political office in Qatar to lead the peace talks with the US, aimed at ending the war in Afghanistan. Baradar was released from prison by Pakistan last year. The announcement came as Taliban revealed they'd held four straight days of talks with the US in Doha.
