Taliban must recognise, uphold basic rights of women: UN chief

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has urged the Taliban to recognise and uphold the basic rights of women in Afghanistan. "Women and girls are once again being denied their rights to education, employment and equal justice…The Taliban must recognise and uphold the basic human rights that belong to every girl and woman," said Guterres.
