Taliban's new law permits husbands to beat wives as long as there are no 'broken bones'

A new law by Taliban permits husbands to beat their wives as long as it does not cause "broken bones or open wounds", reports said. Husbands can face a maximum of 15 days in prison for using "obscene force", such as causing visible fractures or injuries. However, a conviction can only occur if the wife successfully proves abuse in court.
