The Taliban militant group has seized a district in Afghanistan's Badakhshan province, officials said. Government forces lost the region after failing to get adequate supplies or reinforcements in their fight against the militant group. The Taliban claimed to have killed 15 members of the security forces and wounded 14 others in the offensive.
