Taliban start buying Twitter blue tick paid verification: Report

The Taliban have reportedly started using Twitter's paid-for verification feature introduced by new CEO Elon Musk, which means some of them now have blue ticks on their accounts. At least two Taliban officials and four prominent supporters in Afghanistan are currently using the checkmarks, the BBC reported. Before the paid blue tick feature, no Taliban official had a verified account.
