Taliban stresses on implementation of Sharia law in Afghanistan

Taliban-appointed Acting Interior Minister of Afghanistan Sirajuddin Haqqani has said that the current Jihad in the country is to implement Sharia law and for reconstructing the country. This comes amid reports that Taliban officials have banned girls aged over 10 years from attending primary school classes in some provinces of Afghanistan. Notably, Taliban took over Afghanistan in August 2021.
