Tamil Nadu announces dedicated ministry for Artificial Intelligence

Tamil Nadu has created a dedicated Ministry for Artificial Intelligence, with minister R Kumar being assigned the portfolio. It's the first time AI has been given a separate ministry instead of being placed under the IT Ministry in Tamil Nadu. It'll oversee AI policy, IT infrastructure and the adoption of emerging technologies. Kerala had earlier announced a similar AI-focused ministry.
