Tamil Nadu Assembly passes resolution opposing Centre's FCRA Bill

Tamil Nadu Assembly unanimously passed a resolution opposing Centre's Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2026. The state government urged the Centre to withdraw the proposed legislation in its present form. Moving the resolution, Tamil Nadu Minister Thiru Rajmohan said the Bill could impact educational institutions, hospitals and other organisations receiving foreign contributions.
