Tamil Nadu CM launches work to melt temple jewellery into gold bars

Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin has launched the preliminary work to convert unutilised jewellery in possession of the temples under the control of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department into gold bars. Initially, the ornaments will be converted at three temples namely, Thiruverkadu's Sri Karumariamman temple, Samayapuram's Sri Mariamman temple and Irukkangudi's Sri Mariamman temple.
