Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin lost from Kolathur Assembly constituency in the state elections by a margin of 8,795 votes. TVK leader VS Babu emerged victorious by securing 82,997 votes while AIADMK's Santhana Krishnan secured third spot with 18,430 votes. The state went to polls on April 23. DMK is leading on 51 seats, as per trends.
