Tamil Nadu govt allocates ₹1,051 crore for sports & youth welfare in Budget

Tamil Nadu's first Budget under the TVK government led by CM Vijay allocated ₹1,051 crore for Youth Welfare and Sports Development for 2026-27. It proposed 10 Special Olympics Centres at ₹50 crore, ₹42 crore to promote traditional sports globally and ₹5 crore to identify and train sporting talent among children aged 8 to 18 with world-class coaching.
