Tamil Nadu govt changes official rupee symbol in state Budget to Tamil letter

The CM MK Stalin-led Tamil Nadu government has changed the official rupee symbol '₹' in its state Budget logo for 2025-26 to the Tamil letter for "Ru" representing the same. This comes amid a row over the three-language policy under National Education Policy. The use of the new symbol can be seen in a pre-Budget video post by CM Stalin.
