Tamil Nadu imposes Section 144 for a week, no gatherings of more than 5 people

The prohibitory orders under section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) will come into effect in Tamil Nadu from 6pm tomorrow and will end on March 31. Section 144 prohibits the assembly of five people and above in a public place. The move will be taken to contain the spread of coronavirus in the state.
