Tamil Nadu revises auto rickshaw fares after 13 years

Tamil Nadu has revised auto rickshaw fares for the first time in 13 years, making rides costlier for commuters. Under the new rates, passengers will pay ₹50 for the first 1.8 km and ₹25 for every additional km. The government has also revised waiting charges, ghat route fares and night-time travel rates.
