Tamil Nadu is witnessing a rise in dengue cases with 244 infections confirmed among 1,320 people tested statewide. Chennai reported 87 dengue cases among 156 fever admissions in one day. The government has deployed over 25,000 workers for mosquito control, sanitation, source reduction and fever surveillance across several affected districts in the state.
