Tamil Nadu woman sells her 9-month-old son to remarry after divorce

After separating from her husband, a woman from Tamil Nadu allegedly sold her nine-month-old son for ₹3 lakh to a childless couple, as she wanted to remarry. The woman's parents tried to arrange her remarriage and found the infant was hindering the prospects of finding a suitor, police said. The woman's husband approached the police to rescue the child.
