Tamils faced torture in Sri Lanka long after war ended: Rights group

London-based rights group, International Truth and Justice Project (ITJP), has claimed that Sri Lankan authorities abducted Tamils and tortured them in custody after end of civil war, which claimed 80,000-1,00,000 lives. ITJP cited details of 123 Tamils who said they were beaten, burnt, suffocated and sexually assaulted between 2015-2022. The Sri Lankan government has rejected the allegations.
