Tansa dam supplying drinking water to Mumbai full, public caution advised

Tansa dam, which is one of the seven reservoirs that supply drinking water to Mumbai, is full due to heavy rainfall, officials announced on Thursday. Public caution was also advised in view of the development. "We have warned the people residing downstream of the Tansa river about the possibility of rising water levels," Palghar District Collector Manik Gursal said.
