Tarun Bajaj takes over as the new Economic Affairs Secretary

Tarun Bajaj on Friday assumed charge as the Secretary of the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA). He took over the role from Atanu Chakraborty, who retired on Thursday. Bajaj, a 1988 batch IAS officer of Haryana Cadre, previously held charge as Additional Secretary in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) and served as Joint Secretary in the DEA before that.
