Tata Chemicals, asked to exit Kenya for not benefitting country, runs trains there for ₹30
Villagers residing around Lake Magadi, where Kenyan President William Ruto has asked Tata Chemicals to "pack and go" for not benefitting the area, are split on whether Tata should stay or leave, Bloomberg reported. Tata funds four schools in the poverty-stricken region, staffs a hospital and supplies fresh water. Tata also runs a train service, charging ₹30 for long distances.
